Concept Sketches Iterations: Inspired by the produce market.
My research explored Caribbean art, focused on the subject of the produce market. I envisioned the brand feeling fun & energetic, like the variety of shapes, textures and colors in the produce market.

The Design Challenge:
Design a brand identity for a small community business, a cafe style juice bar that has the potential of scaling to become a franchise.

Juiced fruit & fruit smoothies.
The community welcomed the juice bars’ opening during the renovation period. The community looked forward to having a place offering healthier snack options in the neighborhood.
The tagline, “Fresh. Healthy. Friendly.” is a touch point that establishes the voice and tone of the brand.

La Fruteria Signage
The juice bar signage stood out among the Pizzeria, Chinese-Take-out and BBQ restaurants, liquor store and bodegas aligning the street.
