Design is the Strategy.

Hass Love is a native Philadelphian. I made my way to the Pacific Northwest by way of design school in San Francisco. I have a traditional graphic design background, grounded in design thinking.

In a former life I was a cool kid. I gained insight & perspective of the currency & value of cool. The time tested lesson is the perishable shelf life of cool. Content is king. Substance, function & utility permeate value. My goal is to add value, when & where I can and have impact whenever possible.

CONTENT IS KING.

Making connections has been primal since childhood. Observation is a skill that I have honed. Its byproduct has been insight. Among the things that I have learned is, what’s known is equally as important as what’s unknown. Awareness is the difference between not knowing & ignorance. And, a problem is the occurrence of consideration(s) being neglected or unconsidered, creating incongruence. The solutions are inherent within the problem.

Accompanying my winning personality is a positive mental attitude and encouraging spirit to overcome with a witty and at times silly sense of humor. I bring to the table with me, a bug-out bag of life experiences and hard-knock lessons. They inform and aid my ability to design for a diversity of problems across design disciplines to drive design forward with inclusion of peripheral considerations.

Oddly though, my wife will attest that complex things come easy to me and the simple things are hard. I’ve learned to defy my own disbelief that sometimes things are as simple as they appear.
